Pafos was nominated for the title of European Capital of Culture in 2017. This unique opportunity offers Pafos the chance to develop a cultural programme involving citizens from everywhere and invest on the socio-economic development of paphos, with a lasting impact.
The Open-Air Factory is the aphorism accompanying this whole process of Pafos cultural production. The era of this project has a decentralised structure including various sections, units, and workshops in the centre of Pafos spreading outwards to the district’s municipalities and villages, and finally through the whole Cyprus and abroad.
The project aims to restore current cultural places and organize events promoting music, dance and theatre in random and unexpected places: streets, parks, squares, archaeological places, schools and factories.
The city is turned into a live museum of visual arts, inviting both locals and visitors to discover, explore Pafos.
